Overview
Are you an experienced healthcare practitioner? Are you looking for the right qualifications to further your career? Perhaps you're a practising occupational therapist, physiotherapist or nurse, for example, and would like to develop your medical career into a leadership role. This course has been designed with this in mind. The programme gives you the opportunity to specialise in one of our five pathways. These are:
Critical Care
You’ll develop advanced assessment and reasoning skills for the treatment and rehabilitation of the critically ill patient from the intensive care unit through to the community setting.
Prevention and Rehabilitation in Long Term and Chronic Conditions
You’ll develop advanced assessment, reasoning and research skills to deliver effective preventative and rehabilitative strategies for people living with, or at risk of, long-term and chronic conditions.
Musculoskeletal Rehabilitation
You’ll develop advanced assessment, reasoning and research skills for the treatment and rehabilitation of MSK patients presenting within inpatient, outpatient and primary care settings.
Neurological Rehabilitation
You’ll develop advanced assessment, reasoning and research skills for the care and rehabilitation of people living with neurological disorders.
Occupational Therapy
You’ll develop advanced assessment, reasoning and research skills for the care and rehabilitation of people in healthcare and community settings.
At Brunel, we understand the challenges of fitting study around work and family life. This is why we have made our courses so flexible. You can study full-time, part-time or even just take one or more CPPD modules for your professional development and return to complete your course at a later date.
Following successful completion of this programme, you’ll be prepared for a leadership role in developing and improving the care and experience of service users, along with improving service provision across the range of health and care settings.
