Master of Science - International Business and Entrepreneurship
International Business is about learning worldwide business knowledge. Many business principles and practices are common across the world and this degree will help students understand what these are and why they have been adopted internationally. Students will also understand how these business principles and practices vary in different countries, helping them to be prepared for their business career.
Whether their first degree is in Business, or another subject, this course will help students understand why different processes and decisions are made by international businesses. This will be taught across a wide range of modules, including areas such as international business strategy, international trade, human resource management practices, management practices/principles, international marketing, and much more.
With this degree option, alongside the core international business modules, students will study areas to advise, prepare and support them in starting up their own business. Some of the modules are practical and will expose students to real life business start-up.
As part of this degree, learners will have the opportunity to do an eight-week internship matched to their chosen industry in China, Mexico, Vietnam, or Manchester (UK). Admission Requirements
Graduate Entry
Equivalent of a UK 2:2 degree in any subject which has enabled the applicant to develop analytical and quantitative skills. If you are concerned that your qualifications do not meet our normal expectation you may apply, but you should include a short personal statement concerning your general interest in your own education, work experience and prior relevant learning. Places are limited and early application is advised even for well-qualified candidates.
