Webster University’s Bachelor of Science in Accounting provides students with the core knowledge, skills, and tools necessary for a successful career in public or corporate accounting.

The accounting curriculum allows students to explore and appreciate the career opportunities in public accounting, corporate accounting, and other related areas. Accounting majors examine topics like managerial costs, federal taxes, business law and auditing. They can develop a individualized understanding of the field with special interest elective courses and internships.

The program is designed to offer students a general, diversified business background that is significant to the accounting professional in today’s technology-driven, global business environment. Specialized coursework prepares students to successfully complete the CPA and CMA examinations.

Webster students also have the option to complete the combined Bachelor of Science Accounting/Master of Science Forensic Accounting degree program (BS/MS) or the combined Bachelor of Science Accounting/Master of Science Finance degree program (BS/MS). Forensic Accounting is the fastest growing niche service in the accounting field. At Webster University we prepare you for a career in accounting today and into the future.

The BS in accounting program is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP).

International Students

Webster believes the best indicator for success is a strong academic history and passion for studies.  Our application process lets students highlight their best qualities. Each applicant is reviewed individually to ensure the best fit for both you and the school.

Required Application Documents:

1.  Application: There are two options for Undergraduate Application: Webster's Online Portal or the Common Application.  There is a $35 required application fee.

2.  Proof of English Proficiency: If English is not your first language, students will need to submit proof of English skill.  If you do not meet English requirements, you can still be admitted as ESL-Contingent and take ESL courses. We accept a variety of test scores:    
 
       - TOEFL PBT 550
       - TOEFL iBT: 80
       - IELTS: 6.0
       - Pearson: 53

3.  Official Transcripts: For an initial admission decision, students may submit scanned copies of their final, original transcripts. To change an initial admission decision into full admission, students must present their original, final documents to a Webster staff member in person to be verified, after arriving on campus. Alternatively, students may choose to ask their university to send official transcripts directly to Webster in a sealed envelope. If the transcript is not in English, a certified translation must be provided. International students may be eligible for International Transfer Credits.

4.  Essay or Resume: 300-500 word essay on a topic of your choice.

5.  One Letter of Recommendation

6.  Certificate of Finance: The U.S. government requires students to provide proof of financial support for at least 1 year for both education and living expenses. Financial documents must be original and dated no more than 6 months before the start of your studies.
