This course provides students with a solid foundation in key business principles and activities which will help them to adapt quickly in dynamic workplaces. The course focuses on the development of knowledge and application in the following areas: strategic insight, commercial acumen, responsible management, innovation, creativity, and leading transformational change.
The degree offers students a pathway to pursue and develop these areas, personal interests, and skillsets to graduate with the confidence and qualities that employers desire. Business Studies will help you to secure career options in a variety of different sectors as a thought leader, influencer, and expert change agent in today’s evolving workplace.
Applied learning
Work placements
You’ll be actively encouraged and supported to take up a placement year – either nationally or internationally. Many students do a placement each year – gaining experience with corporations in locations such as New York, California, Florida, Dubai, Australia, Hong Kong and the Maldives. You can also study a language, and you’re offered a chance to study at a European university for either a year or semester – with the possibility of funding through the Erasmus+ programme (until 2023) or the Turing Scheme.
