About Program

About program

Today, more and more resonant crimes are associated with cyber attacks. The consequences of hacker attacks are becoming larger, so the demand for professionals who provide information security is growing.

Today, almost every organization needs to protect information.
The main task of a specialist in the field of information security is to prevent possible problems, and not to cope with their consequences. To do this, they analyze cybersecurity risks and threats, and create and manage systems to protect against virus attacks and hacks.

Together with the development team, an information security engineer can participate in the creation of new software. For example, when developing an application, he can think over ways to protect the transmitted data, and for this it is important to understand the methods of cryptography.
In addition to technical aspects, it is important to understand the legal basis for information protection, industry and corporate cybersecurity standards.

A bachelor in Information Security should be able to work with:

  • monitoring technologies
(for example, tracking the emergence of hacker programs),
  • content classification,
  • content filters and
  • data loss prevention tools.

In the undergraduate program, students are given general courses in computer science and methods and methods of information security. Further, students receive more specialized knowledge.

In a typical bachelor's degree in information security, students receive multidisciplinary training in their field, which also includes cryptography, hardware security, and software protection.
Sometimes these same courses are included in the master's program.

Undergraduate education in the direction of «Information Security» includes a whole range of scientific and practical knowledge about computer, automated, information and telecommunication systems. Students learn the basics of ensuring the information security of systems or system objects.

Students are also taught programming in several languages, such as C, JAVA, PHP, etc., and the legal aspects of information security.
