Chemistry BSc

Following the pandemic, we have found that some courses benefit from a blended learning and teaching approach. Therefore, the majority of your teaching will be face-to-face on campus aside from a small amount of online teaching where we have learnt it works best.

Our BSc (Hons) Chemistry degree course can open up a virtually endless range of career paths and possibilities, with both advanced scientific knowledge and highly transferrable skills.
When you graduate from this course, you’ll find a diverse range of options ahead of you. It’s a degree underpinned by practical modules that offer the chance to develop subject-specific skills, as well as the transferable skills that increase your employability.
As such, you should be ready to take your first steps in the chemical, pharmaceutical and food and drink industries, or in chemical research and development.
But you could also consider less obvious career paths, like nanotechnology, environmental science, forensic science, biotechnology and teaching.
And, because of those transferrable skills, some of our graduates have found rewarding roles in accountancy and finance, law and even publishing.
