The way that we learn and develop as children underpins our entire lifespan and lies at the heart of our Education & Psychology Foundation Entry course.
In Year 1, you’ll study the core areas of cognitive, social, psychobiology and developmental psychology.
In Years 2 and 3, you’ll study specific modules about the application of psychology in educational settings.

Course delivery
Following the pandemic, we have found that some courses benefit from a blended learning and teaching approach. Therefore, the majority of your teaching will be face-to-face on campus aside from a small amount of online teaching where we have learnt it works best.

Future careers
Education and Psychology Foundation Entry could lead to a career in a primary or secondary school, or further education teaching following a PGCE or other postgraduate teacher training. You could also work in public services and teaching support roles.
Our graduates work in schools, colleges, nurseries and special units, primarily with teachers and parents, and as independent or private consultants.
You could progress towards Chartered Psychology Status with further postgraduate education.
