About Program

Are you interested in the field of education and how children learn? Do you want to work with children and young people as a teacher or associated professional? Our degree in Education Studies is an ideal route into the children’s workforce.

This course enables you to take your interest in education and learning to degree level and study educational systems from early years to lifelong learning.

There is a strong focus on issues relating to inclusion and the needs of a diverse range of learners. You’ll look at the impact of ethnicity, poverty and deprivation, gender, disability and learning difficulties, sexuality, mental health, and those who have experienced abuse or bullying.

Throughout the course you’ll explore the role of teachers; the shared nature of learning between schools, families and professionals; learning theories; and the curriculum.
