Raise your professional profile
The accredited BEng(Hons) will meet, in part, the exemplifying academic benchmark requirements for registration as a Chartered Engineer (CEng) and students will need to complete an approved format of further learning pursuant to the requirements of UK-SPEC. The accredited BEng(Hons) will also automatically meet in full, the exemplifying academic benchmark requirements for registration as an Incorporated Engineer (IEng).
Our BEng (Hons) Manufacturing and Production Engineering top-up programme is designed to provide specific skills and knowledge for a career within the mechanical and manufacturing engineering sectors. The programme is designed to develop solutions to engineering problems using new or existing technologies through innovation, creation and change and to have technical accountability for complex systems with significant levels of risk. The top-up programme will, therefore, offer a partial CEng accredited degree pathway in manufacturing and production engineering.
Build your specialist expertise
The top-up programme seeks to strike an equitable balance between academic technological aspects, practical applications and the transferable skills necessary for a successful career within manufacturing or production engineering. Such knowledge and pool of skills are being demanded by employers and professional bodies for a highly competitive market sector.
Current roles within the manufacturing industries are extremely technologically challenging with ever-increasing paces of change and development, and many of the larger industries now operate on a global scale. Graduate employees must be able to meet the challenges presented by the constant search for improvement and the relentless pace of development that characterise these industries. The development of management studies throughout the programme plays an important part in your educational process.
How you will learn
How you are assessed
A variety of assessment methods will be used. Some modules are assessed through coursework only, others by a combination of coursework, portfolios, assignments, case studies, oral and graphic presentations, collaborative and interdisciplinary teamwork projects, computer testing and examinations. This provides a flexible and effective means of assessing your progress.
Personal academic tutoring
Your personal academic tutor will work with you to help you get the most out of your time at university. Having someone to talk to about your academic progress, your university experience and your professional aspirations is hugely valuable. We want you to feel challenged in your studies, stretched but confident to achieve your academic and professional goals.

My name is Kavisha Prince Anthony, and I always had a dream of studying abroad. Thankfully, that dream came to life since I applied to the Study Advisor. I was able to receive my visa within four days. I also had some visa refusals in the past; I had about six UK visa refusals in the past, but thankfully, it was not an issue since the Study Advisor was able to make things work this time. I highly recommend Study Advisor for your dreams of going abroad, whether it be the UK or any other European country there is.
