Our law degree, known as an LLB or Bachelor of Laws, is equivalent to a BA or BSc. If your career aspiration is to be a solicitor or barrister in the UK, this degree is perfect for you as it will mean you are prepared in part for the new Solicitors Qualifying Examination (SQE1) or to progress onto our Bar Practice Course (if you wish to qualify as a barrister). And if you have set your sights on a career in politics, business or journalism, the transferable skills you will learn on our law degree will give you an excellent launch pad for these ambitions and more. With our professionally focused qualification, you can expect to learn practical skills coupled with a focus on your future employability.

Our LLB law course will also offer you the flexibility to specialise more and more as you progress to focus on what interests you, with opportunities to study anything from Business Law to International Law.

If you study this course at our London Bloomsbury campus you can choose our Canadian law modules in your third year, preparing you for qualification and practice in Canada.

Foundation Year

UCAS code: M111

You can choose to take an additional Foundation Year before you start your LLB. This introductory year focuses on developing the key skills required to study at degree level. You will study six modules and on successful completion progress onto any of our three year degrees. Please note, the Foundation Year is only available as a September start.
