OUTLINE
Real Estate Law
- In this module students will be equipped with the necessary skills and fundamental knowledge of real estate concepts, the real estate market, land law concepts, registration of titles, law of contract, law of agency, planning and development control, and landlord and tenancy law to be professionally knowledgeable when performing estate agency work.
Real Estate Regulations and Practice
- In this module students will be introduced to basic skills required to understand and apply good ethics, relevant laws and regulations, and best practices in estate agency work to uphold the professional standing of salespersons. Students will be able to apply knowledge required for estate agency services, in particular knowledge on the handling of sale and lease of residential, commercial, and industrial properties and including but not limited to title searches, immigration checks and financial calculations.
Real Estate Investment & Valuation
- This module will instill knowledge and understanding of the fundamental principles of real estate investment time horizon, acquisition, and divestment. Instill the ability to calculate real estate investment returns and be able to evaluate real estate investment opportunities and trends, to acquire basic understanding of real estate valuation.
Estate & Financial Planning
- In this module, students will learn to appreciate the use of trust and estate planning in real estate and to be able to conduct financial planning in real estate.
Value Creation Through Real Estate
- In this module, students will acquire the knowledge to obtain a fundamental understanding of the portfolio approach in investment and wealth creation. This enables students to be cognizant of the process and intricacies in real estate investment sales, evaluate the use of asset enhancement strategy to create real estate wealth and to evaluate the use of space to generate wealth and revenue in real estate-related businesses.
Real Estate Development
- In this module, students will be equipped with the necessary skills to acquire knowledge of the real estate development process and regulatory requirements and to be cognizant of the fundamental construction technologies. This allows students to acquire skills in residual site value analysis.
ASSESSMENTS / WRITTEN EXAMINATIONS

PROGRESSION REQUIREMENTS
- A minimum of 90% attendance is required for international students and 75% attendance is required for local students
- A minimum mark of 50% is required to pass each module
ADMISSION CRITERIA
- Minimum Age: 17
- Academic Level: At least C6 in 3 GCE ‘O’ Level subjects or equivalent qualifications
- Language Proficiency: C6 in GCE ‘O’ Level English or equivalent qualifications or a pass in the English placement test by the college
- Mature executives who do not possess the above-mentioned qualifications but are at least 30 years of age with 8 years of relevant working experience may be considered on a case-by-case basis
