About Program

Are you interested in mental health? Do you love working with people of all ages and from diverse backgrounds?

The Mental Health Nursing ?program at Dublin City University (DCU) is a four-year, full-time undergraduate degree designed to prepare compassionate, knowledgeable, and clinically skilled mental health nurses. This programme equips students with the ability to support individuals experiencing mental illness across a variety of healthcare settings, with a strong focus on holistic care, therapeutic relationships, and evidence-based practice.

With a mix of classroom learning and extensive hands-on clinical placements, students graduate as registered psychiatric nurses, eligible for registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI) and ready to make a meaningful difference in people’s lives.
