The Bachelor of Science in Design Management offers the students a unique opportunity to study design in the wider context of entrepreneurship and management. A practice-based program that will help develop leadership and entrepreneur skills that can be applied in the interior design industry. The program focuses on understanding the value of design, managing design projects, teams, and clients along with fostering positive design culture. It also addresses contemporary design management concepts and approaches required to understand the increasing diversity in design organizations and practices connected to the built environment from architecture, interior design, industrial and product design, accessories design, and fashion industry.
The 3-year program will also introduce students to various studio-based and theory-based programs as part of the specialization offered in Landscape Design or Islamic Art & Design. A final year Dissertation project undertaken under the supervision of an assigned faculty in the sixth semester, the third year of the program will allow the students to explore deeper into the concepts and theories learned previously. Alternately, the students could also opt for an Internship in a design company to extend their learning through exposure to the industry.
