Programmer Objective
- To equip students with more in-depth understanding of specialized Mass Communications subjects in the Print, Broadcasts, Advertising and Public Relations
- To enhance the effectiveness of students’ practical skills and techniques through action-based training
- To enable participants to pursue an undergraduate degree in the field of Mass Communications
Why MDIS
The Management Development Institute of Singapore (MDIS), founded in 1956, is Singapore's oldest not-for-profit professional institute for lifelong learning. MDIS has two subsidiaries: Management Development Institute of Singapore Pte Ltd (MDIS Pte Ltd) to oversee its Singapore academic operations, and MDIS International Pte Ltd to further its globalization strategy.
Assessment Methods
Modules will be assessed through a combination of coursework and examinations depending on the individual module objectives. The proportion of marks attributed to coursework and final examinations is subject to the discretion of individual lecturers and varies according to different modules.
Graduation
Students who successfully completed the programmer will be awarded with the Higher Diploma in Mass Communications award by MDIS.
Progression
Upon successful completion of this programmer, students will progress to the Bachelor's Degrees related to Mass Communications.

- International: Non-tuition fees for full-time programmers include MDIS membership entrance fee, membership subscription fees (consumed year), MDIS experience workshop, medical insurance, medical examination and administrative fee.

Entry Requirements
All applicants must be of age 16 and above and meet at least one of the following requirement:
- 2 GCE 'A' Levels OR
- International Foundation Diploma in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics and Art - Media & Communications from MDIS OR
- Relevant Diplomas from local polytechnics or other PEIs (with an entry requirement of 10 years of formal education) OR
- International applicants must have completed 12 years of formal education OR
- Mature candidates (≥ 30 years old with 8 years relevant work experience)
English Language Requirements
Applicants must meet at least one of the following English Language requirements:
- At least a C6 pass for English at GCE ‘O’ Levels or equivalent OR
- Achieve a minimum band of 5.5 in IELTS or equivalent OR
- Pass the English Entrance Test conducted by MDIS OR
- MDIS Professional Certificate in English OR
- Online English Placement Test conducted by MDIS OR
- Letter from College/University clearly stating the Medium of Instruction of the highest qualification to be English
