Programmer Objectives

This programmer brings an international flavor to degree-level studies in one of today’s faster growing industries.
Students will gain the skills and the knowledge that are increasingly in demand by employers worldwide.
There are exciting opportunities in managing and developing tourism and hospitality businesses.
Students will study highly relevant modules that cover strategic planning for tourism and leisure, international hospitality management, urban tourism and more.

This Programmer is Designed

• To provide rigorous academic learning in the field of international tourism and hospitality management.
• To enable students to develop key areas of knowledge and expertise necessary for both employment in the tourism and hospitality industries worldwide and for life- long learning.
• To enable students to develop transferable skills and to improve their own learning and work performance.
• To contribute to the regional, national and international economies by providing tourism and hospitality education and training for graduate entrants to the tourism and hospitality industries.
• The overall objectives of the programmer aim to maximize both the intended student learning experiences and the student's achievements evidenced by successful completion of the programmer of study.

Methods of Assessment

Assessment methods include some or all of the following:

Awards

Students who successfully complete all the requirements will be awarded the Bachelor of Science (Hons) International Tourism and Hospitality Management by the University of Sunderland (UK). In addition, graduates from this programmer are entitled to use the designation title BSc (Hons) after their name.

Progression

Upon successful completion of this programmer, students will gain entry to Master of Science Tourism and Hospitality awarded by the University of Sunderland, UK.
