The Master study programme offered by the Institute of Applied Linguistics is aimed at professionals, academics and researchers working in the field of Technical Translation.
The programme is designed to advance theoretical knowledge of both native and foreign languages and the translation process.
The acquired knowledge is used in practise during fieldwork. The programme provides a strong foundation for further scientific research and Doctoral Studies.

CAREER OPTIONS

Translators are needed in translation bureaus, enterprises (joint ventures, foreign projects and framework programmes), state and municipal establishments and other institutions where the knowledge of foreign languages, fundamentals of engineering, creative approach to work, presentation and translation skills are necessary.

Degree required: Professional Bachelor Degree in Technical Translation or equivalent Bachelor Degree in Translation or English Philology or Second Level Higher Education in Technical Translation. Academic degree holders (studies without practical training) during the studies have to acquire additional 26CP in practical placement.Degree awarded: Professional Master Degree in Technical Translation and the Qualification of a Technical Translator – Desk Officer
