BSc (Hons) Mathematics (Including Foundation Year)
Want to study Mathematics at university but don’t have the grades? The Foundation route is designed for applicants who do not meet the admissions criteria for our BSc (Hons) Mathematics degree. This additional year focuses on key material from A-Level Mathematics, its applications and a number of more advanced topics.
The Foundation Maths course will involve a large number of contact hours with Mathematics staff to ensure you are properly supported. Successfully passing the Foundation year guarantees you entry onto the first year of our BSc Mathematics course where you will build upon and apply the knowledge gained during the Foundation year. Our BSc and MMath Maths degrees are accredited by the Institute of Mathematics and its Applications. Follow us on Twitter.
Our Mathematics courses are ranked as top in Wales by The Guardian university league tables.

Careers
Our Mathematics degree focuses on giving you the best chance of securing your dream job. Graduates have an excellent track record of gaining employment – 100% of our BSc (Hons) Mathematics graduates are in employment or further study within six months of graduation (Graduate Survey 2015).
Mathematicians and statisticians are in high demand. Most areas of modern life rely on mathematics, so the need for mathematicians, statisticians and mathematics teachers continues to grow. Many employers value the skills you’ll gain on a Mathematics degree, such as refined problem solving and logical thinking. Our graduates find employment in many branches of industry, commerce and public sector organisations. They are especially successful in areas that use mathematical modelling, coding and cryptography, software development, statistics, operational research, and teaching. Many also progress to further study or research at postgraduate level.

My name is Kavisha Prince Anthony, and I always had a dream of studying abroad. Thankfully, that dream came to life since I applied to the Study Advisor. I was able to receive my visa within four days. I also had some visa refusals in the past; I had about six UK visa refusals in the past, but thankfully, it was not an issue since the Study Advisor was able to make things work this time. I highly recommend Study Advisor for your dreams of going abroad, whether it be the UK or any other European country there is.
