The first two years of your Psychology with Behaviour Analysis degree will be focused on the coverage of psychology core areas as required by the BPS for accreditation. This includes research methods, cognitive, social, biological, developmental and individual psychology. You will also gain a solid understanding of how behaviour analysis is used to understand the causes of challenging behaviours, as well as how therapeutic interventions are developed.

A great emphasis is placed on the practical elements of the Psychology with Behaviour Analysis course, so you will have the opportunity to volunteer in our on campus Behaviour Analysis Clinic and carrying out a work placement is incorporated into the second year of your course.

In your final year, you will undertake a dissertation which will give you the opportunity to explore a topic of your choice in more depth. You will also explore how behaviour analysis is applied in complex environments and have an opportunity to implement and evaluate a behaviour change intervention that you’ve designed. You can also select from a choice of optional modules.
