ABOUT THE COURSE
Get hands-on experience of events management with this practical and exciting events management degree. Take the theory learnt in the classroom and immediately apply it to real-life events which you will develop, organise and deliver yourself - helping to ensure that you leave Solent University with a CV you can be proud of.
During the course, students are given the opportunity to develop, run and manage events. This allows them to try a range of industry roles and find out where they feel they thrive the most.
The course team’s extensive links with industry have also enabled students to gain an insight into both event agencies and music festivals (Isle of Wight Festival, Blissfields). This exposure to commercial events, industry events, and active event management practitioners is critical in providing a deeper insight into the industry.
Solent Works, the University’s student run events agency, gives students the opportunity to be part of a growing business, delivering projects on behalf of real clients. Students who choose to get involved develop and practise a range of valuable skills including working to specified brief and managing client relationships.
Think a career in events management might be for you? With work experience opportunities, guest lectures and industry visits all offered as part of this valuable three year degree, Solent University’s events management programme will help prepare you to seamlessly transition into employment.

My name is Kavisha Prince Anthony, and I always had a dream of studying abroad. Thankfully, that dream came to life since I applied to the Study Advisor. I was able to receive my visa within four days. I also had some visa refusals in the past; I had about six UK visa refusals in the past, but thankfully, it was not an issue since the Study Advisor was able to make things work this time. I highly recommend Study Advisor for your dreams of going abroad, whether it be the UK or any other European country there is.
