In studying Law with Criminology, you will examine the causes and effects of criminal behaviour, its impact on the criminal justice system, and the methods for prevention. In the Law School, we also offer a range of additional opportunities such as inviting in guest lecturers and organising mooting and debating sessions.
Students from countries outside the UK are expected to have entry qualifications roughly equivalent to UK A Level for undergraduate study and British Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) for postgraduate study. We accept a wide range of qualifications and consider all applications individually on merit. We may also take into account appropriate work experience.
English Language Requirements
- IELTS Academic: Undergraduate: 6.0 (no less than 5.5 in any band)
- Postgraduate: 6.5 (no less than 5.5 in any band)
For those who do not have IELTS or an acceptable in-country English language qualification, the University of Chester has developed its own online English language test which applicants can take for free as part of their application.
