ABOUT THE COURSE
Post-production is the final, crucial step in any TV or film project. Production editors have the important task of bringing all the elements of a production together to tell the story in a creative, compelling and legible way. This top-up course will help you to build on your existing skills and qualifications, equipping you with the technical and creative know-how required to succeed as a professional post-production editor.
Upon graduation, you will have built a portfolio of essential post-production techniques and will be able to confidently apply investigative and analytical processes to a range of creative briefs. You’ll also have a developed awareness of the roles and responsibilities within post-production, both individually and as part of a team.
You’ll build these skills in our state-of-the-art media facilities and post-production suites. Key equipment includes high-spec Apple computers, professional editing platforms (Final Cut Pro, Avid and Premiere Pro), industry-standard production studios and a fully-equipped outside broadcast vehicle.
You’ll also benefit from access to a range of additional professional qualifications. These include the Avid Media Composer and Pro Tools Certified User qualifications, which can both be taken free of charge.
