Studying international business will prepare you for a career that can cross any sector or industry with a global focus. From day one, we’ll give you the opportunity to become a well-rounded manager. We’ll offer you a range of modules to extend your knowledge in fields like strategy, economics, sustainability and intercultural management. We also place great emphasis on technology, politics, finance, social/demographic change and ethics. To be successful, employers need individuals with the skills, knowledge and insight to understand these complex issues.Building on the skills you’ve developed during previous study, our top-up course will increase your understanding of the issues facing international businesses. You’ll be part of our Faculty of Business and Law – well-recognised by employers and professional bodies as a centre for innovative business education and training – and taught by inspiring specialists who are keen to share their wealth of experience, and make sure you gain the skills you need for a successful career. We regularly host employer visits and speakers. We also organise business events designed to enhance your knowledge of the job market and give you opportunities to meet and speak with employers.Graduating with a degree in international business will give you the foundation for a career that can cross any sector, industry or location. Our graduates can be found working in the private, public, or third (voluntary) sector – and in industries as diverse as aerospace and defence, beverages, construction, health, management consultancy, pharmaceutical, retail, telecoms, travel and leisure.
Alternatively, you could choose to continue your studies at postgraduate level. We offer a variety of business Masters courses, including our ever-popular MBA, MSc Management or MSc International Business.
