Course Description
Chemical Engineering is a branch of engineering that provides the necessary knowledge to convert raw materials into useful products within the realm of economy and profit. Its knowledge further helps to optimize the existing manufacturing processes thereby achieving an economical cost of production.
Today, when more emphasis is given to reduction in production cost and innovation, Chemical Engineers are in huge demand in India and worldwide. Graduate Chemical Engineers find themselves working in Chemical-Production Facilities, Plant-Designing, Marketing, Environmental-Protection Auditing, Research and Development, and many such new-age professions.

- Plant Operations: Chemical engineers are widely recruited by Organizations in the area of Petroleum, Petrochemicals, Pharmaceuticals, Fertilizers, Agrochemicals, Dyes, and Paints. Their primary role in such industries is to ensure smooth operations of the manufacturing plant
- Process Designer | Simulation engineer: As a Process and equipment designer, a chemical engineer will be using sophisticated software/s to design and simulate the processes and/or equipment
- Research and Development: A Chemical engineer can find himself working in an R&D set up of an organization or a govt sponsored CSIR Labs as a research fellow or Research Scientist
- Sales and Marketing: For the sales and marketing of Specialty chemicals, organizations recruit chemical engineers in the role of sales manager
