Depending on your specialisation, you’ll create functional, beautiful, intuitive and accessible objects, websites, apps, publications, interiors and landscapes and discover how design operates in our rapidly changing, technologically innovative and socially conscious world.

UC’s work placements and short-term overseas study options will help you find plenty of inspiration – and all the while you’ll be exploring the law (contract, constitutional and more) and developing the abilities of a socially and ethically responsible legal practitioner.

What’s more, UC’s Bachelor of Laws/Bachelor of Design allows students to fast-track their studies during winter term and, in their final year, begin their Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice or Master of Design Strategies.

Combine a Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Design at UC and you will:

• gain a fully accredited law degree and a broad theoretical, historical and technical knowledge of the discipline of law, suitable for entering the legal profession, becoming an advocate, or undertaking related careers
• identify the different stages of the ‘design for manufacture’ process
• gain the knowledge and skills necessary to launch your own interaction design business or seek employment within global markets across all industries.
• select appropriate methods, materials and processes for designing and prototyping products
• employ innovative use of different visual and emerging media types across print, screen and packaging
• develop effective design solutions for specific audiences

• learn to apply advanced 2D and 3D digital design technologies
• acquire image-making expertise and the ability to develop visual design artefacts using a range of analogue and digital media.
