Theoretical Physics, BSc (Hons)
COURSE OVERVIEW
Theoretical Physics addresses the meaning of everything. From quantum information and a grand unified theory, to dark matter and high energy particle physics, this subject can take you anywhere. Our three-year BSc Theoretical Physics degree will teach you how fundamental physics is applied across different disciplines and how it connects to new advances in engineering, medicine and mathematics. You will explore the big questions, such as how did the universe begin, what are space and time made of and is it possible to recreate in a laboratory the conditions that existed seconds after the big bang?
Physics at Swansea University is a widely admired degree which attracts students from across the world.
Your learning will be shaped by inspiring and international-renowned academics including Professor Mike Charlton. Professor Charlton and his team developed innovative techniques that led to the trapping and studying of antihydrogen atoms.
Swansea University holds a TEF Gold Award, UK Government recognition of excellence in higher education teaching.
THEORETICAL PHYSICS EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES
Our graduates have become demand forcasters, electromagnetic signature analysts, cost draftsman, patent examiners and software engineers in sectors which include government research, aerospace, defence, energy, engineering and space exploration.

My name is Kavisha Prince Anthony, and I always had a dream of studying abroad. Thankfully, that dream came to life since I applied to the Study Advisor. I was able to receive my visa within four days. I also had some visa refusals in the past; I had about six UK visa refusals in the past, but thankfully, it was not an issue since the Study Advisor was able to make things work this time. I highly recommend Study Advisor for your dreams of going abroad, whether it be the UK or any other European country there is.
