Supply Chain Management BA (Hons)

Course overview

You gain the business acumen and understanding of the tools and techniques businesses use to manage complex distribution and logistics networks in the supply chain. You learn how to work with partners and suppliers across the world to ensure efficient and effective operations and to increase their access to various domestic and international markets.

Environmental factors including Covid-19 and Brexit have disrupted operations within the global distribution and logistics industries. The Tees Valley is a logistical hub, and plays a key role in international import and export. You work on live projects with regional clients such as PD Ports and AV Dawson to tackle current challenges, ensuring you are able to make an impact in the growing logistic and supply chain industries.

You gain a comprehensive understanding of business concepts and models with specialist knowledge of logistics and supply chain management. You study business organization, management, leadership and enterprise combined with specialist modules specific to logistics. An optional work placement year is included, at no extra cost.

This course opens up career opportunities in logistics and supply chain management such as distribution management, supply chain management roles and logistics analyst, amongst a host of other opportunities. It allows you to develop skills which employers require and are relevant for their business.
