Ever since amplified music became mainstream, the technology used for performance by musicians has become more and more complex. This has been compounded by the increased use of digital equipment that has subsequently added layers of technicality that have raised the level of understanding required in order to work effectively in the industry. In turn, this has created many opportunities for graduates in this area.
Students will:
- develop in-depth knowledge and practical skills to design and operate professional sound systems in a range of live event situations, from small club tours to festivals.
- have opportunities to develop their CVs and experience at Focus Wales music festival, hosted partly in our Centre for Creative Industries and broadcast the performers on our own YouTube Channel, Glyndŵr TV.
The course will be based upon lectures with practical demonstrations throughout that are supplemented by practical sessions applying the techniques covered.

My name is Kavisha Prince Anthony, and I always had a dream of studying abroad. Thankfully, that dream came to life since I applied to the Study Advisor. I was able to receive my visa within four days. I also had some visa refusals in the past; I had about six UK visa refusals in the past, but thankfully, it was not an issue since the Study Advisor was able to make things work this time. I highly recommend Study Advisor for your dreams of going abroad, whether it be the UK or any other European country there is.
